Event Team Member Position Description:

Event team members play a critical role in ensuring the correct and efficient management of events. The primary duties of an event team member include tasks such as: setting up tables and chairs, helping guests navigate the venue, day of decorating, and event clean-up.

The role of an event team member can vary as certain events require more planning. If hired to work before an event begins, responsibilities could include: ensuring proper setup, setting-up tables, chairs and back drops, decorations or even making sure areas of the venue are clean and stocked with supplies. If scheduled during an event you will be responsible for helping reset the space, clean up of decorations and catering items, making sure guests and clients are happy, and end of night closing duties. 

General Duties Include, but are not limited to:

·         Attend Monthly Management Meetings and Team Meetings: Attendance of monthly management meetings to go over upcoming events and other important items.

·         Interface with Clients: This position has regular and direct interaction with future and current clients. The Day of Event Manager must always act with a level of professionalism that represents the venue well. This sometimes requires interacting with challenging personalities and it is critical that you can do so without losing patience.

·         Fulfill Wedding Day and Event Duties: The duties of a wedding day may include but are not limited to set-up/take down, greeting the client, assisting vendors or the decorating team, managing challenges as they arise, keeping up and cleaning of bathrooms, disposal of trash throughout the event, client interaction throughout the event, end of night clean-up, to include putting away of décor, and cleaning (wiping down tables, cleaning up spills and messes, taking out trash, etc.).

·         Participate in Off-Site Events: As opportunities arise there may be opportunities for off-site events. 

·        Help Prepare Venue for Upcoming Events

·         Special Projects: Special projects may be assigned as they are identified.

·         Professional Dress: We require a business casual dress for events, and casual dress for event set-ups. 

·         Other Responsibilities as Assigned

Job Requirements:

·         Works well with others and manages stressful situations without becoming overwhelmed.

·         Must operate well in environments where you are required to take direction and excel when it is necessary to be a leader. We value servant leadership, and the ideal candidate will bring skill and heart to the team, and check ego at the door.

·         Flexible availability to include late nights and weekends

·         Ability to confidently interact with clients, serve them well, and be a good listener

·         Confident in the use of Microsoft programs

·         Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

·         The ability to lift 30 pounds, ability to climb a ladder, move freely and quickly. Reasonable accommodations may be made to essential functions to enable individuals with disabilities perform duties.

·         Great attention to detail, naturally works well with others, and handles stressful situations without becoming overwhelmed.

·         Must operate well in environments where you are required to take direction and excel when it is necessary to be a leader.

Schedule Varies from 5-20 hours per week. Usually vary from 11 - 3pm or 6pm - 11pm.
