General questions

What is the rental fee to rent The Foundry?

What dates are available?

  • Please view our available dates here.

What is the building capacity?

  • Our max capacity is 286. For a ceremony we can seat 100 up on our mezzanine and 150 down in the main space. We can fit 120 guests for a formal seated reception in our main space (160 if the main space and mezzanine are utilized), and 400 - 600 for a flowing reception. Some couples choose to do a smaller ceremony and larger reception, which works great!

Is a deposit is required to reserve our date?

  • We require a $500 deposit when contract is signed. Payments are set-up leading up to a month prior to your big day or event. The final installment is required 30 days prior to the event. We also require a $500 refundable retainer refunded to you as long as all contract terms are met.

Does our deposit go towards our venue rental?

  • Yes it does, but we do require an additional $500 refundable retainer and credit card on file 30 days prior to your wedding or event. This is refundable to you as long as all contract terms are met.

How do I reserve a date?

  • To reserve a date please email us at ashlee@foundryweddings.com requesting to book a specific date. We do not verbally hold a date. Your deposit is due within 14 days of requesting your date. If your deposit isn’t paid your date shall be made available again. Prior to booking we suggest you schedule a tour and see our beautiful space in person. We do require your deposit and proof of insurance to secure your date.

Do we need to schedule a tour or can we just drop in?

  • We ask that you schedule a tour either in person or through FaceTime or Skype. You can request a tour through our Tours Page.

Do we have to use The Foundry’s vendor’s

  • While we have an open vendor policy (except for bar service), vendors chosen must be preapproved by Foundry Management.

Do we have to utilize your bar service?

  • We do require you to use a bar service from our exclusive list. You can find the list here.

Will there be another event the same day?

  • If you book a half day rental there is a possibility there may be another event on the same day. We have ensured we have enough staff and time in between events for clean-up and prep so that this will not have an effect on any events.

Is there onsite parking?

  • Yes, we have an onsite parking lot, with plenty of parking.

What form of payment does The Foundry accept?

  • We accept Venmo, cashier’s or personal check, and all major credit cards. We charge a 3% convenience fee for all Venmo and credit card payments.

Does The Foundry have any hidden fees?

  • We believe that it is important to be as transparent as possible with our pricing. Please visit our Services page to review all our rental options.

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

  • Yes, there is a Best Western conveniently located right across the road from us for approximately $99 per night. There are also other accommodations approximately 5 miles away we can direct you to.

Do you offer straight tables instead of round?

  • Our tables are rectangle fruitwood tables and comfortably seat 8. 10 can sit at these tables if you seat two guests on the ends. These tables are amazing as is, and do not require a linen. Our other tables are round “cocktail” tables, adjustable to two heights. They are perfect for your a sweethearts, gifts, cake tables and more. We can help you rent more tables for an additional rental fee.

Do you provided table linens, cups, silverware, etc.? 

  • We offer linens for an additional fee. You can view our linen prices here. Our rental fee is based on the linens you choose and quantity you need. We do not provide cups or silverware.

We plan to have our ceremony offsite, or only plan to have our ceremony at The Foundry.  Does your fee change?

  • Our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both onsite.

What form of payment does The Foundry accept?

  • We accept cash, credit card, Venmo, cashier’s or personal check.

My preferred dates are unavailable. Do you have a cancellation waiting list?

  • We do not keep a cancellation waiting list. When a date is added to our schedule we add it to our Availability page. We are also more than happy to discuss your date when you schedule a Tour.

What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?

  • You will have time to access The Foundry to decorate at the start time of your rental that is listed in your contract.

Does The Foundry offer planning services?

  • Yes, we do have onsite Wedding and Event Planning. Please view our Wedding and Event Planning Services page here.

What is the average budget of a couple getting married at The Foundry?

  • That is a great question! In general, we believe the average budget of a couple getting married at The Foundry is between $10,000-$15,000 for all wedding expenses (venue, food, dress, suit, DJ, photographer, etc.). Although with some creativity and a smaller guest list, $5,000 - $8,000 can still be a very beautiful wedding. 


Catering Questions

Do we have to utilize your catering and bar service?

  • We do not require you to use a caterer. We do however ask that all food is prepared before it arrives onsite. Caterers need to be preapproved by Foundry Management. All caterer’s need to be licensed and insured. We do have a preferred list of caterers that we love that you can find here. We also have a wonderful selection of catering options which you can find here. Caterers are required to leave our kitchen as they found it, including wiping down of counters, moping and emptying trash.. Food clean-up is provided by the caterer or client.

  • We do require you to choose a bar service from our exclusive list.

Does The Foundry handle the catering orders for these caterers, or do I work with the caterer directly?

Is there a food or beverage minimum or guest count minimum?

  • No there is not a food or beverage minimum, and our catering options are vast to fit many different budgets.


Planning Questions

When is the next open house?

• Our open house events are designed for couples who have already had a private tour of The Foundry and have booked their date. Open house dates and the RSVP form can be found here.

If we choose the one day rental option, will we be able to access the location early to rehearse our ceremony? 

  • If you choose the one day rental, our venue will likely be reserved by another couple the night before. For that reason, one day rentals should plan for an offsite rehearsal. You are also welcome to to bring anyone who would feel more comfortable understanding the venue (such as your DJ, minister, or wedding party) to one of our monthly open houses.

Can we have fireworks on the property?

  • Fireworks except for sparklers are not permitted in or outside of the property. Sparklers are only allowed outside the property, with prior consent for our management. The reason for this is as you may (or may not know) Uintah is surrounded by mountains with quite a bit of trees foliage. We cannot predict our weather, and to be proactive in preventing fires, we cannot allow any sort of fireworks. 

Can vehicles be left overnight?

  • No vehicles can be left overnight. Please advise your guests of this policy.

What time does the music need to end?

  • Music must conclude at 9:00pm for half day events and 10:00pm for full day events. This ensures that you, all of your items, and all of your vendors are off-property by 11:00pm.

We are using a rental company.  Can they drop items off or pick them up outside of the rental period? 

  • All deliveries must happen during the standard rental period. Please advise your vendors of this policy.

Are candles allowed?

  • Real candles are not allowed on the property. As a great alternative we recommend flameless candles.

Is it possible to seat 10 to a table?

  • In a pinch, yes, you can seat two guests on either end of the tables.

How far in advance do you need our final headcount?

  • We need your final headcount two weeks prior to your rental date.

Does The Foundry offer wedding and event planning services?

  • Yes we do offer planning services for your event. To find out more please visit our Event Planning page.

Do I have to use The Foundry’s event planner or can I use my own?

  • You do not have to use The Foundry’s event planner. We want you to be happy on your big day, and sometimes that might include using another event planner.


Set-Up & Day of Event Questions

Are outside snacks and food trays permitted?

  • Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are permitted prior to the ceremony. It is not allowed after the start of the event. Please no drinks in glass bottles.

What is the event clean-up process?

  • ·For clients decorating themselves, they are required to put The Foundry’s Something Borrowed decorations on two table at the end of the night.

  • The Foundry staff will handle all standard clean-up and trash removal throughout and following the even.

  • If the client is providing their own food versus hiring a caterer, they shall clean up the kitchen, buffet areas, and bar area (if using it for non-alcoholic beverages) as a professional caterer would.

  • Items and trash associated with your catering, cake, florals, and bar service shall be cleaned up by the applicable vendors.

  • For clients decorating themselves, they are required to put decorations on two table at the end of the night. If the client is providing their own food they shall clean up the kitchen, buffet areas, and bar area if using it for non-alcoholic beverages as a caterer would.

Can we nail things to the walls or hang things such as lanterns, garland, etc.?

  • No holes may be placed in/on our walls or any other area. Command Strips may only be used on our cement or brick wall. Our ceilings are quite high for hanging things. We have made The Foundry a beautiful and inviting space to save you the extra work and cost of lots of décor


Something Borrowed Closet

Are all items in the Something Borrowed Closet Included in our Rental Fee?

  • All items in the Something Borrowed Closet are included in your rental fee, except we charge a $25 fee for chargers, and a $40 for each additional arch request except for the first.

What if something is broken or we accidentally end up taking something home?

  • ·If something is accidentally broken you will be charged to replace that item. If items only come in a set, you will be charged for the set.

  • If something is accidentally taken home by you or your friends and family, you will be charged the fee to replace that item. If items only come in a set, you will be charged for the set. If you are able to find a certain item, and bring it back to us, you will not be charged for those items.
